The Actual Almanac

Poor Richard’s Almanack, published annually by Benjamin Franklin, was packed with practical content vital for everyday life in colonial America. Each edition featured detailed calendars that marked important dates, religious holidays, and astronomical events like eclipses and planetary movements, which helped readers organize planting, harvesting, and social activities. The almanac also included seasonal weather forecasts and agricultural guidance, offering tips for farmers on crop planting and harvest timings, which were crucial in a largely agrarian society without access to modern weather predictions.
